Camper Sponsorships
Sponsor a Camper
Since 1961, Camp Peniel has been providing quality camp experiences for guests from all over the Maritimes. Over the years, costs have risen at a startling rate; currently the fee for summer camp only covers about half of the actual cost of running our summer camping program. Despite this, Camp Peniel strives to ensure that no camper is ever turned away because of a lack of finances; instead we work with families to create options that work.
We have the following options available:
PAYMENT PLANS
We are happy to work with you to establish an payment plan to pay your camper’s balance. Contact our office, and we will do our best to find a solution that works for you and your financial schedule.
DISCOUNTS
Camp Peniel has a number of discounts to help make the cost of camp more affordable. These discounts are available directly on the paper registration form. We have the following discounts available:
Sibling Discounts – Save $50 on the second and each consecutive sibling for any full week of camp.
Multi-Week Discounts – Add another week to your camper’s full-week experience and save $50 on your second week (or consecutive weeks).
CAMPER SCHOLARSHIPS
For some families, the cost of camp is just too much. Through fundraising and the generous support of donors who want to see no camper turned away for financial reasons, Camp Peniel has a sponsorship program available to help mitigate the cost of camp.
Through this program, families can receive assistance in covering up to two-thirds of the cost of attending a full week of camp (Sibling and Multi-Week Discounts are not applicable with Sponsorship applications, as per our policies. Families are responsible to pay the extras not covered through Sponsorship such as tuck money, t-shirts and photos).
Families can fill out the sponsorship form below and send it into the camp via mail / email along with a registration form. Our staff will then contact you about camp availability and how to proceed. If you have any questions, please let our staff know when you’re in contact with them.
Want to sponsor a camper? Here’s how!
- To set up automatic withdrawls, contact our office and we will take your Credit Card info to set up your donation in the amount and timing of your choice.
- E-Transfer us at office@camppeniel.ca and let us know in the memo line it’s for our Sponsorship Fund.
- Cheques can be mailed to “Camp Peniel” at 415 Cedar Lake Road, Cedar Lake, NS, B5A 5L8 with a note saying it’s for our Sponsorship Fund.
- If you have cash, find us at our next event (or in your local church or community). You can also ask them to pass along your info so our office can contact you. (We do not recommend mailing cash or passing it to someone who may accidentally misplace it.)
